Wife goes to court over her husband's ghost stories

A woman from Taiwan went to court to obtain an injunction against her husband to keep him from telling her ghost stories at night.

The Thaiwanese woman a Mrs Chen told the court that her husband was giving her nightmares as reported by the Apple Daily Taiwan newspaper.

Mrs. Chen filed a police report complaint  and then went to the courthouse and applied for a personal protection restraining order which was approved by a district court judge in Taichung.

The not so happly married couple have been married for 20 years and they have two daughters. The Chen's were separated several years ago but never formally divorced.

Mr Chen found work away from their family home at a fruit orchard and he would return home every few months to visit his two daughters for a few days at a time.

Mrs Chen stated that her husband would return home in the middle of the night in a drunken stupor.

Mr Chen would then tell her ghost stories  even while she asked him to quit.

He would tell her stories of seeing "figures clothed in white clothes floating around in the orchard" and of people "hanging themselves" and about how he found human bones near his work.

Mr Chen states that he was only sharing his own personal work stories with his beloved wife.

Mr Chen's very own daughters told the judge their father frequently tried to traumatise their poor mother with his wild and macabre tales.
